Dangerous dogs issue addressed by council

By RONNIE HARDIN Democrat News Staff

At the Marmaduke City Council meeting Monday night, aldermen approved an ordinance regulating dangerous dogs and potentially dangerous dogs.

Dogs deemed to fall under these two categories must be placed in a proper enclosure or restrained by a substantial chain or leash under the physical restraint of a responsible person.

The penalty for violating this ordinance is a misdemeanor and is punishable by a fine of not less than $50 and not more than $100.
