retired from the Navy. Maurice died March 30,

Randall died
at his residence in Jonesboro on October 6, 1999.
He was born September 12, 1939, in California. He
was a retired director of sales at Molecular Genetics
Chemical Company and a member of Center Hill Church of
Christ in Paragould. He was preceded
in death by a daughter, Robin Lee Wilson, and a sister,
Peggy Burliegh. Survivors include his parents,
Hershel and Emma Wilson; a son, Randall Lee Wilson, II;
two sisters, Beverly Barrett and Phyllis Sonney.
Burial was in Woodland Heights

Frances was
born April 25, 1940, and died December 14, 2000, in St.
Louis. She is survived by her husband, Denver, and
their two children, Patty and
Wesley. | |

Richard "Dick" Griffith |
Dick died at
St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, March 24, 2001.
He was born April 5, 1940, in Monette. He died of
a massive heart attack. A Vietnam veteran,
he is survived by his mother, Anna, and brother J.
H. He was preceded in death by his father,
G. L. and a brother Freddie Joe Griffith. Dick was
retired as director of the industrial arts
department at the V. A. Hospital in Memphis.
Burial was in Woodland Heights

Williams Simpson |
Brenda, 59,
of Effie, LA, died Sept. 25, 2001, in Alexandria, LA,
from cancer. A longtime resident of Vick and
Effie, she was a member of Vick Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by her husband, Nolen, and parents,
Doyle and Willodean Williams, Brenda is survived by two
sons, Kevin Simpson of Hickory Hill and Kurt Simpson of
Natchitoches; one daughter, Kelly S. Faulk of Forest
Hill; two brothers, Alan Williams and Scott Williams,
both of Vick; one sister, Beverly W. Dupont of
Lafayette; and five grandchildren. Burial was in
Vick Cemetery. | |

Barkemeyer |
Edwin R.
Barkemeyer, 62, of Warner Robins, Ga., died Saturday,
June 1, 2002. The son of the late Herman and
Melissa Price Barkemeyer, he was a retired Senior M/Sgt.
from the U.S. Air Force and was employed as an equipment
specialist at Robins Air Force Base. He was a member of
the Bonaire Church of Christ. Survivors include
his wife, Mary Lou Wiseman Barkemeyer of Warner Robins;
a daughter, Lisa Owens of Tucson, Ariz.; two sons,
Andrew Barkemeyer of Warner Robins and Edwin Barkemeyer
of Eastman, Ga.; a sister, Pauline See of Lebanon,
Tenn.; two brothers, Herman Barkemeyer Jr. of Madison,
Tenn., and Donald Barkemeyer of Grants Pass, Ore., and
five grandchildren. Burial was in Andersonville
National Cemetery. | |

Charlene
Talley Long |
Charlene Talley Long, 65, of Paragould died
Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2004, at Regional Medical Center of
NEA in Jonesboro. She was born June 8, 1939, in
Opal, Arkansas to the late Charlie and Emma Talley. She was
a former cashier at Western Sizzlin Steak House and a
member of the Assembly of God Church. She was
preceded in death by one son, Pastor Ed Long, and
several brothers and sisters. Survivors include
her husband, Bobby Long of Paragould; one son, Gene Long
of California; one daughter, Diane Wing of Barling,
Ark.; one brother, Louie Cordell of Rector; seven
sisters, Donna Edwards and Lottie Blackshear, both of
Paragould, Dorothy Byrd of Fort Smith, Myrtle Ferguson
and Louise Shelton, both of Rector, Rosie Modlin of
Beebe and Margie Priest of California, and three
grandchildren. Burial was in Woodland Heights
Cemetery in Rector. | |
