Captain
Bonnie Ann Harding Leadford (USN, Ret.) of Middleton, Tennessee, and Mr.
Gary Lee McClure of Paragould, Arkansas were united in marriage at 2:00
PM Friday, December 31, 2004 at Faith Lutheran Church, Collierville,
Tennessee. The Rev. Dr. Timm Griffin of Faith, and the brother of
the bride, Rev. Stanley L. Harding of Immanuel Lutheran Church,
Elmhurst, Illinois, officiated. The bride is the daughter of Mrs.
Margaret Rebecca Harding and the late Mr. William R. Harding of
Middleton. The bridegroom is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Virgil D
McClure of Rector, Arkansas.
Given in marriage by her son, Mr. William Malcolm Leadford II of
Portsmouth, Virginia, the bride wore a rose colored satin and silk
organza gown with a lace bodice encrusted with sequins and crystal
beads. She carried a bouquet of white roses and ivy. Lieutenant
Commander Jonna Luanne Leadford (USN), her daughter-in-law was the
bride's matron of honor. Eight granddaughters and nieces, who wore
ballet length gowns of burgundy organza and plum shantung, served as
attendants. They were the Misses Lauren McClure, Melissa Lawson, Hilary
Harding, Shelby Harding, Amy McGinnis, Anne Leadford, Kelsey Harding,
and Ashley Leadford. They carried matching bouquets of white roses and
silk berries and foliage. Miss Rachael McClure, the youngest grandchild,
was the flower girl and carried a silver, silk ribbon basket of roses.
Mr. Gordon Michael McClure of Mainesville, Ohio, served as his father's
best man. Ushers were groom's son Dr. Timothy P. McClure, of Pine Bluff,
Arkansas, and son-in-law Mr. Mark McGinnis, of New Orleans, Louisiana.
Eight grandsons and nephews served as the groomsmen. They were Masters
Will Lawson, William Harding, John Lawson, Cody Snyder, Jason Snyder,
Zack McGinnis, Mac Leadford, and Ethan Harding. and William Malcolm
"Mac" Leadford III also served as ring bearer. During
the ceremony, the scripture was read by Dr. Lucinda McClure Lawson, of
Bethlehem, Pennsylvania; and two solos were sung by Mrs. Rebecca Harding
Horne, of Chicago, Illinois. Following the ceremony, the bride and
groom hosted a dinner reception and a New Year's Eve party at the
Woodrun Clubhouse. Music and entertainment were provided by Danny
Churchland, of Adamsville, Tennessee, and vocalists Tommy Browder and
Bessie Jarrett. Upon their return from a wedding cruise to the
Caribbean, the couple will continue to reside at Woodrun in Middleton.
